Saved My Chrysanthemum Crop & Boosted Yield Against All Odds

Sudhakar Reddy’s chrysanthemum crop was dying, crippled by heat and pests. Villagers thought it was finished. See how this medicine stopped the disease in 3 days, saved the plants and brought unexpectedly high yields and profits.

We poured nearly 1.7 lakh rupees into the land, only for the chamanthi crop to start dying right when the flowers were budding. Folks in the village were sure it was a lost cause.

Betting on a Miracle

My four acres of chamanthi crop were suffering badly. The heavy heat and the constant watering brought on the dreaded red mites (ఎర్రగులు) incredibly fast. We had already spent ₹60,000 to ₹70,000 just on liquid medicines, trying to control it. The total cost was nearing ₹1.7 lakh per acre. My neighbors were all sitting by the main road, watching, saying, “He put in too much money; it’ll all be dead in a week.” They said saving this crop was impossible. I called GramaBazaar, and they told me to drench the plants. With my mulching setup, I thought drenching was impossible. Still, I was already risking so much money, I figured I would just risk four liters of that medicine through the drip line and see what happens.

Stopping the Plague in Three Days

I figured I’d let the plants go, worried I might waste another 4,000 rupees. But I put 4 liters of that special medicine into the drip line. Three days later, the disease stopped spreading dead in its tracks. The field survived, standing strong when everyone said it couldn’t. The market had warned me that if the plants were that sick, the flowers would be too small to sell. But the size came back strong, and I was able to sell them. The solution helped sort out those hidden root problems (like Nematoḍes or root knot) that cause the plants to weaken. My stalks became sturdy and strong, not soft and mushy like the weak ones I had before.

The High Yield Triumph

Six cuttings and counting! Amazing harvest from the crop!

We’ve already had six cuttings, and we’re on the seventh now—that’s far more than anyone predicted for a crop that was supposed to be dead. Because the crop is so strong, the high tonnage is really showing. I only get about ₹20 less per kilogram than the average farmer for the flowers, but my yield is so much better. I get 40 more boxes per cutting, which translates to four quintals of extra harvest. That extra weight makes up for the slightly lower price and then some. My brother-like neighbor didn’t even believe the flowers would ever bloom or last this long. Now, if the market rates hold up this year, we expect to bring in ₹2 to ₹3 lakh profit per acre this season. They even say one more dose might give us another month of good picking! 👍
