Bigger Banana Bunches, Better Yields: The Decoction Behind 8–9 Hands

From Crop Removal to Complete Revival: A Farmer’s Journey

In December, farmers advised removing this banana plantation due to severe root rot and poor growth. After applying Nemzap and GrowthFit, the field underwent a complete transformation. What looked like a failed crop turned healthy, vigorous, and productive—something the farmer himself describes as nothing short of a miracle.

Field Details and Early Setbacks

Puliprakash from Uddandarayunipalem, Tulluru mandal, Guntur district, cultivated bananas on 3.10 acres with about 4,900 plants. Due to sandy soil patches and poor root health, nearly 2,000 plants died from root rot. Many advised abandoning the crop and shifting to another cultivation.

Turning Point: Applying Nemzap and GrowthFit

Based on advice from fellow farmers and Gramabazaar guidance, Nemzap was applied at five litres per acre, followed by GrowthFit. Results were not immediate, but after 20 days, the field began changing rapidly. Within 40 days, growth improved beyond expectations, and plant strength returned.

Visible Results: Growth, Yield, and Plant Health

Plants that were weak started producing strong bunches, with expectations of 8–9 hands per bunch and around 30 kg yield each. Leaf quality improved, pest damage disappeared, and even smaller plants began fruiting. The farmer observed uniform health across nearly all remaining plants.

Reduced Fertilizers and Lower Costs

Earlier, nearly 50 bags of urea, potash, and complex fertilizers were used with poor results. After switching to Nemzap and GrowthFit, chemical fertilizer use dropped sharply. Input costs reduced while yield potential increased, proving that more chemicals do not always mean better production.

A Call for Sustainable and Farmer-First Agriculture

The farmer strongly emphasizes quality, honesty, and respect for farmers. He highlights how middlemen buy bananas at ₹15 per kg while malls sell them at ₹80. His appeal is simple: protect soil health, reduce chemicals, ensure fair pricing, and move collectively toward natural farming for a healthier future.
