The Weight of Investment and the Worry

We have kept this mango orchard pure organic for seven or eight years now, right from the planting day—never once touching chemicals. As any farmer knows, that’s a promise you make to the land, but you also have to make sure you get a proper return on your hard work. Our goal is simple: for every rupee we invest in the orchard, we need to successfully bring back ten rupees. If they do that and that single ‘season’ fails, the whole crop is lost. But since we are following nature’s timeline with our method, if one wave of fruit fails, we still have another wave coming, securing our success. We have had three different stages of fruit come through this season, and the crop has settled. This is the difference: that satisfaction you feel from producing pure, natural fruit—a satisfaction that no chemical can ever match. Every farmer should remember: you should never underestimate the next person, and the world deserves to eat pure, natural fruit, not just chemicals.
